Yufu Mabushi Shin Ekimae Branch
A restaurant famous for its mabushi gohan, rice topped with meat. Shin offers mabushi gohan topped with Yufuin eel, Oita Bungo beef, and Toyo shamo chicken raised in Yufuin’s Shonai-cho neighborhood. Preparing its rice in proper earthenware pots, diners are encouraged to enjoy their first serving of lavishly topped mabushi gohan plain, the second with condiments of their choice, and the third chazuke-style with dashi.
