Seifudo Glover Garden-dori Branch
A castella cake specialty shop located on the hill road leading to the popular Glover Garden in Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture. Moist Nagasaki castella, made with just sugar, flour, eggs, rice syrup, and granulated sugar is a popular and staple Nagasaki souvenir. In addition to standard plain, Seifudo sells a variety of castella flavors, including cheese, chocolate, and Earl Grey (all popular with students on school strips and women). The shop’s frozen castella, only available from fall to spring, has a more mature flavor that goes great with wine.
