Kokinchan

Ramen

A food stand located in the Tenjin neighborhood of Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The inventor of yaki ramen (fried ramen), now a popular dish found even in convenience stores, Kokinchan is frequented by great numbers of tourists. Thin ramen noodles and assorted toppings covered with a tonkotsu (pork bone) broth, the rich flavor of Kokinchan’s yaki ramen goes well with beer. Kokinchan also offers stewed oden, mentai tamagoyaki (fried egg with roe), and other unique food stand delights. Kokinchan is so popular lines inevitably form before it even opens.

Reviewed:2018/09/25
