Former Mitsui Minato Club
A historic building located in Omuta City, Fukuoka Prefecture which was erected in 1908 and which was used as a social gathering hall by the Mitsui zaibatsu (conglomerate), accommodations for foreign officers, and as a reception hall for the Imperial household as well as political and industrial circles. The highly formal and showy interior and antique furnishings of this Western-style, white-walled building help give a sense of the period in which it flourished. In addition to a tea room, there is a restaurant inside with an excellent view of the garden where visitors can enjoy gorgeous courses at tea time. The Traditional Minato Club Curry Set is particularly popular.

Review

- Nostalgic atmosphere.
- I was part of a small group that had lunch at the Mitsui Minato Club in February, 2019. The food and service were very good. I would go back again next time I am in Omuta.
