Kamikawa Jinja Shrine上川神社

Shrine

This Shinto shrine is in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido. It is dedicated to the guardian deity of the Asahikawa area developed lands Amaterasu Omikami, among other gods. It's famous as a spot to bring business prosperity and good fortune in money. The Kamikawa Jinja Festival, held every July, is the main Asahikawa festival and a huge draw for visitors.

The surrounding of the area n shrine is very beautiful although I could not venture much due to the thick snow around the area it' still worth for looking into it.....

地元の守護で、天皇の居所(離宮)計画もあったところ。美しい紅葉もみられて清々しい。旭川駅から1回曲がるだけで道はわかりやすいが、徒歩30分でかなり登り坂、おまけに一の鳥居から急な階段が50段ほどある。二の鳥居に近い社務所までは車で上がれます。タクシーには社務所まで、というと上がってくれます。旭川天満宮も同じ敷地。御朱印は両方いただけます。

753の子供が多く、大きい神社でした。駐車場も社務所近くまでありますので便利です。社務所で御朱印いただけました。
