This michi-no-eki roadside station is on National Route 38 in Minami Furano Town, Sorachi County, Hokkaido. There's a massive fish pool with live Sakhalin taimen and white spotted char from the nearby Sorachi River, and the Butter Potatoes made with local Minami Furano potatoes are a hit. Canoes are also quite popular with locals, so the building itself was designed to resemble one.

半円形の近代的な外観の施設で、物産館、レストラン、ベーカリーがある普通の道の駅です。大きな熊の剥製が出迎えてくれます。真空パックの「バタじゃが」を推していました。また、アウトドア用品のモンベルストアが併設されています。

道の駅内のレストランは，トンカツとカレーとラーメンのお店です．このように書くと，垢抜けてないなあと思われるでしょう．私も期待はしないで入りました．注文したのが豚ヒレカツ定食です．Aヒレカツは3枚，Bヒレカツは4枚とあったので，3枚を選択しました．最も普通のヒレカツは棒状のヒレを輪切りにしたものと思いますが，このお店はそぎ切りにした楕円形のタイプで，3枚も食べるとお腹いっぱいです．衣の量は普通ですが...
