Satsukigura Chamise

Cafe
An old fashioned Japanese home-style cafe in the town of Esashi. The cafe is housed in a warehouse which was part of the old Nisseki group of warehouses built in the Edo period. One of the four warehouses in the group was renovated and opened as this cafe. The cafe's menu primarily consists of local Esashi dishes. Options include keiran, a soup with shiratama flour dumplings in it; fukinko-jiru, a soup with potatoes and mochi rice cakes; and katako-mochi rice makes made by kneading glutinous rice.
