Hakodate St. John’s Church
The Hakodate St. John’s Church is an impressive building with its brown roof in the shape of a cross which you can see when you ride on the nearby ropeway. The church is one of a group of famous churches in Motomachi. The clergy house, newly built in 2006, was awarded the Hakodate City Landscape Award. You can reach the church 15 minutes on foot from the Jujigai tram stop.

- These old buildings in this area of the city are all worth seeing as they help one appreciate the history of this older part of the city. The architecture of these buildings is very good.
