Obuse Makio Fujioka Art Museum
"An art museum surrounded by the rich natural beauty found at the foot of Mt. Karita. The museum's standing exhibition consists of 50 original pictures out of a collection of 400 by illustrator and picture book author Makio Fujioka. His depictions of the seasons of Nagano utilizing a unique touch and color pallet are simple, warm, and romantic. Many of the pictures should look familiar - try comparing them with the actual locations in Obuse! The museum's unique collection also includes original pictures used in the ""Sasabune Canoe"" nature exploration picture book series. Visitors can savor the added details of the original pictures not visible in picture books."
