Akiyama-go Sogo Center Tonenbo
"A tourist information center dedicated to Akiyamago, the collective name for the 12 settlements which dot the area along National Route 405 sandwiched between Mt. Naeba and Mt. Torikabuto. ""Tonenbo"" means ""things brought together"" in the local dialect. There's a folk museum in the building with exhibits on local customs such as Yakihata slash-and-burn agriculture and matagi (traditional hunter) straw capes; and an exhibit corner introducing the geopark at the foot of Mt. Naeba. In addition, the center sells handicrafts. An old Japanese home open to the public for viewing is located a three-minute walk from the center."
