Udon Arakuraya手打ちうどん 新倉屋
An udon noodle shop located close to Shimoyoshida Station on the Fujikyuko Otsuki Line. Particularly recommended are the chilled tanuki udon made with Mt. Fuji's famous spring water, nabeyaki udon hotpot made with noodles that stay chewy even when simmered for an extended period of time, and the nikuten udon topped with horsemeat and squid tempura. The restaurant's chewy noodles are a little on the softer side and are served with miso and soy sauce-based broths. Yoshida udon noodles are normally topped with cabbage, but this restaurant's noodles are instead notably topped with spinach.

Yamanashi prefecture is the proud home of one of Japan's most celebrated icons: Mount Fuji. Although the mountain straddles both Yamanashi and Shizuoka, the most breathtaking views of Fuji-san can be seen from the Fuji Five Lakes north of the mountain in Yamanashi prefecture. The plethora of outdoor activities in and around the lakes all have the benefit of the country's highest mountain as their backdrop, and we can assure you that it is an unforgettable sight.
