Happy Park
A 10-minute drive from the Shirane Interchange on the Chubu-Odan Expressway. This community center's facilities include a farmers' market selling the abundant agricultural produce of Minami-Alps City, and a restaurant dedicated to using local ingredients. Here visitors can also purchase ripe fruit as well as foods such as miso, jams, and wines. The kiwi fruit wine, made with real kiwi fruit, has a fruity flavor and is easy to drink, making it popular with women. The Happy Park Cherry Festival is held here in June, and during this time visitors can enjoy a customary cherry pit spitting contest, stage shows, and a special farmers' market sale.
