Daikokuten

This is located at an altitude of 1,432 meters along the Zao Ecoline Road in the Kuraisihidake National Forest, ToogattaOnsen, Zao Town, Katta County. The god Daikokuten is venerated in the form of a small statue, amid a group of stone plaques. It is also the entrance to the climbing route that leads to the summit of Mt. Katta.

蔵王のお釜を見学に向かう途中に立ち寄りました。広めの駐車場があり、車をとめて、散策路を登っていきます。荒々しい風景が広がっています。

車を降りて大黒天が祀られているんだろうと探してみたらすぐに見つかりました。清酒「蔵王」が供えられ、小さな大黒天や恵比須神・毘沙門天も並んでいました。縁起がいい神仏が並ぶ。手を合わせて「おんまかきゃらやそわか」と拝む。この「大黒天」と言われるスポットは大黒天が祀られている事が由来になっている様ですが、このスポットから刈田岳に向かう登山道になっている。標高は先程の蔵王寺の1250mから200...

大黒天の登山道入り口から、石の階段や木道を登り続けます。登山用のシューズが必要です。９月末に行きましたが、快晴で暑くて、かなり汗をかきました。「刈田岳」山頂に着くと、今度はかなり風が冷たくて、さむくて防寒着が必要でした。あったかいコーヒーを魔法瓶で持って行ったので、美味しくいただきました。気温差があるのできちんと準備して登った方がいいです。「お釜」の裏側の山の地層や断崖が美しく、雄大な景色の中を...
