Nakasu River One Thousand Cherry Trees

Place famous for cherry blossoms
These cherry trees are along the Nakasu River that runs through the center of Anpachi Town which is in between the Ibi and the Nagara Rivers. A walking path runs through the nearly 1,000 cherry trees spread along both banks. They hold a cherry blossom festival yearly in early April when the trees are in bloom. The reflection of the blossoms at full bloom in the river are a sight to behold. Plum trees are also planted along the promenade. From the end of January, visitors enjoy strolling there while feeling the arrival of spring and taking in the scent of the plum blossoms.
