Sasacho Brewery
A long-established brewery in Towa-cho, Hanamaki City. It's at the foot of Mt. Hayachine, one of the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains. They make miso and soy sauce while faithfully adhering to the knowledge and methods of their predecessors. Their rich and natural Shinise-no-Aji Tsuyu seasoning features a blend of bonito stock and soy sauce fermented for an extended period, without any artificial flavors. It comes recommended and has even been featured in the newspaper. Other popular items include Hon-kuradashi, Iwate inaka miso that has been aged for a long time in Akita cedar barrels and Hayachine Shoyu, soy sauce made with spring water from the mountain.
