A soba restaurant in Nishiichi-cho, Hitachiota City. Housed in the same building that was once home to the Ota Bank, they use stone ground buckwheat flour for their handmade soba noodles. Their udon noodles are made the same way with wheat grown using traditional methods. They also offer multi-course meals with wild vegetables, freshwater fish, and other rustic fare to accompany the udon and soba.

元銀行の建物で営んでいるお蕎麦屋さん。店内もとても風情がありました。130年前の建造物だそうです。天井に薄らと銀行の名前が記されているので、ぜひ見てほしいです。混むかなと思って10時に行き、一番乗りでした。10時40分くらいにもう1組がきて、開店と共に中へ。従業員の方が少ないので、注文してから20-30分でお蕎麦が来ました。お店を出る頃には、8組ほど待っていました。その頃には駐車場も満車に...

建物は旧銀行だったとのことで、和と洋が入り混じった何とも言えない味のあるレトロな雰囲気でした。ランチタイムに訪れ、お蕎麦をいただきました。きれいなお蕎麦でおいしかったのですが、個人的にはもう少しコシがあるとうれしかったです。

常陸太田にある蕎麦の名店。あの慈久庵の流れを汲む美味しい蕎麦が味わえます。昔の銀行を利用した建物も味わいがあって素敵な空間です。慈久庵は行くのも、そして食べるのも大変ですがここはさほど待つことなく美味しいお蕎麦を食べられます。
