These statues are located near Baishinji Station in Baishinji-machi, Matsuyama City. They depict the Akiyama brothers Yoshifuru and Saneyuki, whose military exploits were famously depicted in Shiba Ryotaro’s historical novel “Saka no Ue no Kumo.” Both of the statues look out over the Seto Inland Sea from the top of a hill.
