Fureai Bokujo Kogen House
About 50 minutes by car from Shinshiro Interchange on the Shintomei Expressway, this tourist ranch is surrounded by a beautiful natural environment. Day camping is available, as is auto camping and log cabin stays with a reservation. It offers fun for the whole family with horseback riding on a lead and the chance to get up close to cute animals like sheep, goats, rabbits, and more. The break area has gohei mochi rice cakes, a local Okumikawa treat with lots of ginger. There is also soft serve ice cream that's as good as you'd expect from a ranch.
