Hyatt Regency Kyoto Trattoria Sette (ハイアット リージェンシー 京都 トラットリア セッテ)

4.0

Italian Cuisine

This Italian restaurant is inside the Hyatt Regency Kyoto. They offer authentic, simple Italian dishes that showcase the natural flavors of their ingredients, including pizza fresh baked in their own Napoli-style woodfired oven, and the chef's special pasta. They also have a full dessert and wine menu, and not only offer lunch and dinner, but a tea-time service as well. They attached pastry boutique has fresh-baked bread, cakes made with seasonal fruits, and more for takeout as well.

Review of Trattoria Sette

Extremely efficient, highly competent staff and a really delightful menu and wine list. What more can we say??!!

Great location and excellent staff. Roasted Chicken dish very good, and tomato soup outstanding. The pesto pasta was overpowered by excessive sauce. Fine attentive service.
Reviewed:2019/07/27 Overpriced and overrated
I was a solo walk in on a very empty night. They made me wait on top of that. In addition, it took them 10 minutes to get me a menu. I have lived and eaten all over Italy. Their menu is pretentious...

Its wooden tea houses, shuffling geisha, and spiritual sights have seen Kyoto hailed as the heart of traditional Japan, a world apart from ultramodern Tokyo. Despite being the Japanese capital for over a century, Kyoto escaped destruction during World War II, leaving behind a fascinating history which can be felt at every turn, from the fully gold-plated Kinkakuji Temple down to traditional customs such as geisha performances and tea ceremonies, which are still practiced to this day.
