Ikoma Taisha Shrine

A shrine in Ichibucho, Ikoma City. The object of worship enshrined here is Mt. Ikoma and seven deities including Ikomatsuhiko-no-Kami and Ikomatsuhime-no-Kami are worshiped. This ancient shrine is worshiped from seventeen local townships in the Ikoma valley as a regional deity. The Annual Fire Festival held in October has been designated an intangible prefectural folk cultural property and the groves about the shrine have been designated a prefectural natural treasure.

初詣

立派な石の鳥居と石段があり正月は初詣でこの石段がいっぱいになる。人々が顔を合わせ新年の挨拶をしていて恐らく観光客の比率はかなり低いとみた。古代から地域住民に鎮守として大事にされていたのかなと思える。
何処に門前町は、有るの？

歴史は古く、そこそこの規模の神社ですが、周りに一件も店は無く買い物をするところは全くありません。お正月や年に一度火祭りが行われる日は、屋台が沢山並びます。そんな神社です。
