Yokohamabashi Shopping District
This shopping district is a two-minute walk from Bandobashi Station in Minami Ward, Yokohama City. It was used as a shopping district for the region starting before World War II, and currently features about 130 shops lined up, in particular food product shops and restaurants. Spring features the “Utamaru Sakura Festival”, which was named for Odori Park’s “Utamaru Sakura” bearing the name of Katsura Utamaru, a rakugo storyteller who served as an honorary consultant of the shopping district and hailed from the same district.
