Miyoshi Shrine

This shrine is located on the mountainside of Mt. Taihei, and is known as the head shrine of all of the Miyoshi shrines throughout the country. Onamuchi-no-kami, Sukunabikona-no-kami and Miyoshi-no-okami are enshrined here, and are said to grant success in one's endeavors. People who seek further success in their endeavors also make their way up to the rear shrine located at the summit of the mountain, as well as people who have come to visit from places far and wide.

太平山頂上に奥宮、市内ふもとに里宮がある山岳信仰の神社で秋田県秋田市にあります。奥宮のある太平山は高さこそそれほどではないが、中級レベル以上の素人にはかなりハードな山だそうで、私は里宮のみ訪問しました。里宮には太平山遥拝所があり、奥宮に行けない人はここでお参りですね。祭神は大己貴大神、少彦名大神、三吉霊神を祀ります。三吉霊神とは初めて聞きましたが、秋田の豪族である鶴寿丸藤原三吉のことです。室...
