Orchard

This tourist fruit farm is located about a 20-minute drive from Asakura Interchange. Yamandon is a corruption of the place name Yamanodo in the local Ukiha dialect. Guests can enjoy picking and eating seasonal fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, grapes, pears, and persimmons all year long. At the farm’s cafe Mugoyoka, guests can enjoy cakes or its lunch of the week. The cafe offers a selection of no fewer than 30 cakes made with plenty of seasonal fruit at any given time. We recommend enjoying them with the cafe’s blended coffee, which is made with mineral spring water.

The most northerly of Kyushu island’s prefectures, Fukuoka comprises castle towns, seaside parks, and Hakata ramen, one of Japan’s most famous noodle dishes. Whether due to its good location or its unique charm, the prefecture’s capital, Fukuoka city, has been voted one of the most desirable places to live in the country—a close-knit community, a thriving food scene, and accessible nature combine for irresistibly laid-back city vibes.
