Jiigatake Ski Resort
This ski resort is located a 34-kilometer drive along national Route 147 traveling towards Omachi from the Azumino Interchange on the Nagano Expressway. Notable for its many gentle slopes, the resort is a great place for small children and beginners to try skiing. There are steeper slopes higher up the mountain for more experienced skiers to enjoy. The resort offers ski and snowboard rentals and holds classes as well. Sleds can be used on the children's slope and, for small children who might find using a lift difficult, there's an enclosed trailer which can be ridden to the top of the slope.

- Brilliant Skiing Area - popular with locals and not very many tourists
- Jigatake is a wonderful skiing area and far less crowded than the near by Hakuba Valley Kashimayari. It was a little difficult to figure out where to go to rent gear after our taxi dropped us off but...

- Great for small kids
- Great area for small children. Nice hill for sledding or beginner skiers or snowboarders. Small area but not crowded and steep enough on some parts to make fun carves. Huge parking lot, no charge...

- 子供のスキーグループが多い
- 人もまばらで、自由に滑れました。子供のスキーグループが多く、全体的にもスキー客の方が多い模様。雪質は、ちょっとザラメでした。初心者向けのコースです。
