Jike Furusato Mura Shiki no Ie
After disembarking at the Aobadai Station on the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line, it’s just a two minute walk from the last stop of the bus bound for Kamoshida Danchi. This is located in the northwestern part of Yokohama City and an area where brilliantly colorful scenes of historic hillside paddies and mixed forests are preserved. One can enjoy the flora of violet, clover, and sakura in the spring, the green of the rice paddies in the summer, and the golden colored ears of rice and crimson foliage in the autumn, providing beautiful scenery for every season. At the Shikino-ie, General Information Center, there is a restaurant serving Japanese dishes, and a rearing facility display of the Natural Monument, the Miyakotanago fish. There are also events such as observation meetings and guided tours guided by a nature observation instructor.
