Gensenyu Akariya
A day trip hot spring bathhouse situated along Aonuma-dori Street close to the National Route 20 Kamihara intersection. The waters of the bathhouse' mildly alkaline simple spring contain an abundance of both sodium ions and sodium bicarbonate and are said to beautify the skin due to their high moisturizing properties. The bathhouse has two atmospheric outdoor baths, one made with ancient hinoki cypress wood and one made with stones brought from the foot of Mt. Fuji. The bathhouse' restaurant serves dishes made based on the concept of local production for local consumption, such as Fuji Sakura pork and Kofu chicken. The bathhouse is open and airy with high ceilings, and bathers can enjoy the charms of Kofu in a relaxing atmosphere.
