Ani Ski Resort
A ski resort located on Mt. Moriyoshi, a mountain selected for inclusion in a list of Japan's 100 best mountains for viewing flowers and Japan's 100 best frost covered tree scenery destinations. The resort has three beginner courses and two intermediate courses, making this a great destination for first-time skiers. But the resort's biggest draw is the stunning frost covered trees which can be seen near the top of the 1,200 meter high mountain. In February, the resort holds nighttime tours in which you can view the trees from the comfort of the cabin of a snowcat. Outside ski season, visitors can take in alpine plants in summer and stunning fall foliage in autumn. A 3.5 kilometer long lift with comfortable gondolas goes to the top of the mountain, making it easy even for senior citizens to enjoy the view.
