Spa House Jougen no Tsuki
"A little-known hot spring bathhouse located in Nagomi Town, Kumamoto Prefecture. All of the bathing rooms in this day trip hot spring bathhouse have an indoor and outdoor bath. The bathhouse' exterior is painted in beautifully contrasting black and crimson lacquer. In total, the bathhouse has 13 unique bathing areas, including the Aitetsu no Yu, which bears a theme based on the popular folktale Bunbuku Chagama; the ""Tale of the Bamboo Cutter""-themed Geppaku no Yu; and the Hisui no Yu, which has a spacious Shigaraki ware outdoor bath. The bathhouse is supplied with water from a strongly alkaline simple springs considered one of the best in Kyushu. The waters of this spring are said to treat nerve pain and joint pain, keep the body warm long after your bath, and leave your skin smooth and soft."
