Kurogahama Beach
This beach along Prefectural Route 635 is located in Saganoseki, Oita City. It is in the Nippo Kaigan Quasi-National Park, and features a blackish coast made from black stone called serpentinite, and has been selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Beaches. In addition, Shiragahama Beach, which features white sandy beaches, is located southwest of the same prefectural route.
