Kannon Suisha Dekamarukun

Other Sightseeing Spot
"Located a 30-minute drive from the Iwakuni Interchange on the Sanyo Expressway or the Muikaichi Interchange on the Chugoku Expressway, this huge water wheel 12 meters in diameter was made using specially made cedar in 1990. It is near ""Negasaiwaya Kannon,"" where a wooden Buddha state dedicated by Kobo Daishi is said to have become a Buddha statue like stalactite over a long period of time after being exposed to water droplets including lime, and it suddenly appears when you approach along the path to the temple. It reopened after renovations in March 2010."
