This district is located approximately a 15-minute walk from Bitchu-Takahashi Station on the JR Hakubi Line. Beautiful cherry blossoms and willow trees continue along the banks of the Konya River, which once was the outer moat of Bicchu Matsuyama Castle, and it has been selected as one of the 100 Best Roads in Japan. The trees are illuminated at night during the cherry blossom viewing season, and it is visited by many tourists. The historically rich cityscape extends to the oldest church in the prefecture, Takahashi Christian Church, and Raikyuji Temple Garden, which was built by Enshu Kobori, lord of the Bicchu domain.
