Tamagawa Shizen Kenkyu Road
This nature study trail is in Towada Hachimantai National Park in Tamagawa, Tazawako, Senboku City. Visitors can view the source of Tamagawa Onsen, which produces about 9,000 liters of strongly acidic hot spring water per minute, the largest volume in Japan from a single site. You can also try a geothermally heated natural bedrock bath. You'll also find hokutolite there, a mineral containing radium that's formed by the hot springs. It's been designated a Special Natural Monument.
