Kominka Cafe Koguma (古民家カフェ こぐま)

Cafe

Kominka cafe Koguma is on an old shopping street in Higashimukojima. The building is an old wooden structure that once housed a pharmacy. The seats and tables were all once used in schools. Visitors feel like they've stepped back in time here. Their signature dishes of baked rice omelet and Anmitsutama, syrup-covered fruit gelatin, received the Sumida City brand certified Sumida Modern gourmet award. The shop holds about 800 old books and a gallery space, so you can enjoy a quiet browse with your meal.

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
