Japan's only theater for traditional rokyoku storytelling accompanied by shamisen music, the Mokubatei is also used for kodan storytelling, comedy, rakugo comedic storytelling, minyo folk songs, and other theater and music performances. Tickets are often half price for customers age 25 and under, and long-standing fans and younger people enjoy performances together.

懐かしい雰囲気の劇場

昭和の映画館を思い出す座席でした。こういった雰囲気は久しぶりだったので、昭和生まれには懐かしい感じです。今回は隣の席が空いていましたが、結構肘とか腕はあたりそうです。演者さんが低い位置にいると、座席によって見にくいので、席を選ぶ時気をつけるとよいかもしれません。ただ、演者さんと近いので臨場感がいい劇場ですね。浅草寺や花やしきも近いし、浅草を散歩しながら楽しめるスポットでした。
浅草21世紀

浅草寺にほど近いところにある演芸場です。建物はかなり古く、中も広いとは言えません。が、それが「浅草21世紀」という喜劇鑑賞にちょうど良い感じです。アドリブで進めるお芝居、お客さんの反応も良くてとてもよかったです。

初めてにピッタリ！と常連さんに言われた座組さんと小屋の組み合わせでした。出入り自由で飲食自由。風情を味わいながら楽しく観劇できました。
