A Japanese garden located in Mogusa, Hino City. Azaleas, hydrangeas, Japanese maples, and a variety of other flowering trees and plants bloom on the grounds throughout each season. A Plum Blossom Festival is held at the garden when its around 500 hundred plum blossom trees spanning some 50 varieties come into bloom, attracting many visitors. Since ancient times this famous garden has been a renowned sightseeing destination in old Edo and has been beloved by countless men and women of culture.

四季折々の風景を楽しめます。園内にベンチが多くありますので、お気に入りの場所でお弁当(持ち込み可)を食べられます。もみじ祭り期間中の紅葉は、太陽の光にかざされきれいでした。また、多摩丘陵にあるため、展望がききます。場所は京王線の百草駅から１５分くらい、急な坂道を上ったところです。

午後になって急に思い立ち、電車の時間なども調べず家を出たので、着いたのは閉園30分前でした。急な坂を上ってきた疲れもあり、ベンチに腰掛けてぼーっと過ごし、園内はほとんど回れなかったので残念でした。晴れた昼間だったら、筑波山まで見えるのだそうです。まだ紅葉の時期にも早くて、返す返すも残念な一日でした。（園のせいでなく、単なる自業自得です）
梅園

京王電鉄百草園駅から徒歩１５分です。入口に着く直前に手すりが設置されているくらいの急な坂を上ります。園内も石段や坂があるので足が悪い方は辛いかも。梅が有名ということで行きましたが、まさにその通りです。ピンクの梅は燃えるように、白い梅は雪のように咲き誇っていました。梅の木１つ１つの近くに行って見上げるよりは、心字池周辺、松連庵周辺、松連庵前の階段から入口方面を見下ろす地点、見晴台で梅の木全...
