Nezu / Ikenohata Shinobu-tei

This is a yose (a storyteller's house) located in the Ikenohata district of Tokyo's Taito City. It opened for business in 2013 using the first floor of the home that rakugo storyteller Koraku Sanyutei had constructed. Although it is a small-scale yose accommodating 40 to 50 people with zabuton (flat floor cushions) on wood floors, this is also the greatest benefit in that guests can sits close to the presenter and enjoy the live sounds of rakugo without necessitating the use of a microphone. The closest station is Nezu Station.
