宮崎公園内にある美術館で駐車場もコレクション展も無料と言う大盤振る舞い。英国並みに文化施設は無料という、文化重視の県政か。建物が展示内容に比べて大きすぎる気はするが、西欧の有名な作品もちらほら、地元の芸術家の作品も見れる。

宮崎神宮の西側にある美術館です。常設展は無料で観覧できます。また、建物外の敷地も芝生が美しい公園になっており、天気が良ければのんびりと散策できます。
