Roadside Station Ebino (道の駅 えびの)

4.0

Michi no Eki Road Station

This is a roadside station in Ebino City providing tourist information as well as a market called “Yuino Markets” selling a variety of freshly picked fruit and vegetables grown on local farms, as well as fresh meat including Japanese beef. In addition, the cafeteria “EBINOCCO” offers a buffet of seasonal produce. Soft serve ice cream made from cumquat, a specialty of Ebino, is also popular.

The road station gives an opportunity to shop for small locally produced items. It has hot food and prepared foods to take with you.

Good!

An unmissable highlight of Kyushu, Miyazaki prefecture satisfies nature lovers with its dramatic gorges cut out of rugged cliffs, leading into waterfalls and beaches of green-blue water popular among surfers. Takachiho Gorge in the north of the prefecture tells a tale of centuries-old Japanese mythology in a fantastic setting, allowing visitors to explore the waters by boat before heading up to the cave at the Awano Iwato Shrine, where the sun goddess was said to have hidden, plunging the world into darkness.
