天草エリアの入口にある道の駅

農産物は柑橘類中心で野菜もそこそこ売られてました。土産品は近隣の道の駅でも見かけるような商品ばかりで目新しさは感じませんでした。海産物は刺身がそこそこ充実しており売り場に並べられるとすぐに売れてしまうような感じでした。客層は観光客と地元民が半々といった感じで地元民の台所になってるような道の駅という印象を受けました。

施設内の観光協会に天草四郎ミュージアムの割引クーポンがありました。天草の特産品のオブジェが駐車場周りに色々ありかわいいです。

九州本土から有明海に突き出ている宇土半島から、橋を渡って最初の天草の島が大矢野島です。大矢野島に入って、島の中央を走る国道を南下しました。その島の中程の道路沿いに、こちらの道の駅がありました。天草の道の駅ですから、物産品売り場にはもちろん海産物が多いんですが、農産品もたくさん並んでいました。おもしろかったのは、マイクロキュウリとマイクロトマトという野菜。どちらも、直径１ｃｍ程の大きさしかあり...
