Tsukahara Onsen Kako no Izumi

A hot spring situated halfway up Mt. Garandake, an active volcano located in Tsukahara, Yufuin-cho, Yufu City. The hot spring is one of only a few acidic sulfur containing iron - aluminum - calcium - sulfate springs in the country. The waters are acidic and contain an abundance of iron and aluminum. Facilities include large indoor bathing areas, outdoor bathing areas, family baths, and rest areas. Visitors can also view the volcano crater.
