Meien to Meisui no Yado Baien

A hot spring hotel located in Kawakami, Yufuin-cho, Yufu City. The hotel’s bathhouse is constantly supplied “kakenagashi” style by a hot spring whose waters contain an abundance of metasilicic acid and which are said to beautify the skin in addition to treating such ailments as nerve pain, muscle soreness, joint pain, frozen shoulders, fatigue, and sensitivity to cold. Facilities include an outdoor bath with a view of Mt. Yufu, a semi-outdoor rock bath, and a large indoor bathing area with a roofed hinoki cypress tub. There’s also a spacious, private reservable outdoor bath. The bathhouse is open to non-guests as well and the hotel offers day trip hot spring bathing plans which include a meal.
