Lake Kagurame
A lake located southwest of downtown Beppu in Kagurame, Beppu City. It is a renowned destination for flowers with some 15 thousand Japanese irises spanning 80 varieties growing around the one-kilometer circumference of the lake. Many visitors come to take in the flowers while they are in bloom from June through July, and during this time an iris gazing session is also held.
