Heiwa Shimin Park
A park situated along the Ura River in Hagiwaramidori-machi, Oita City. Facilities include a children’s plaza with a statue called the Mucchan Peace Statue, a symbol of the city’s peace; a multipurpose ground; Japanese style garden with a Noh theater stage; outdoor stage; and walking paths, and the park can be used for cultural activities, sports, and more. Over 800 cherry trees growing along the river in the park come into beautiful bloom in the spring.
