Mt. Mitake
This mountain is located in Kamiagata-cho, Tsushima City. It is connected to Mt. Odake, Mt. Medake and Mt. Hiradake, and is 479 meters high. It has been revered as a sacred place for mountain ascetism since ancient times. In addition, the endangered Tsushima leopard cat inhabits the mountain, and the area has been designated as a natural monument and a specific animal habitat protected forest. The white-bellied woodpecker that is now extinct in Japan once lived there.
