Tosa-jinja Shrine

Shrine
This shrine is located in Ikkushinane, Kochi City. Said to date back to ancient times, it enshrines Ajisukitakahikone no Kami, the Shinto deity of land development and industrial prosperity, and Hitokotonushi no Kami, the Shinto deity of harmony and cooperation. It is widely believed to grant visitors wishes for better fortune and good luck. The current main building designated a national cultural important property was rebuilt in 1570 by the samurai warlord Chosokabe Motochika.

    土佐國一之宮 土佐神社 国の重要文化財指定の1500年の歴史ある神社。駐車場、参拝料共に無料です。住宅街の中に忽然と現れてビックリ、平日午後の雨模様って事も有りますが、参拝客が私一人ってのはチョッと寂しいですね。山門、本殿、鐘楼などなど立派な建物が多いのですが、建物によって色彩がまったく違うのがチョッと違和感です。

    四国八十八カ所巡りの際、隣のお寺にお参り、その時気になったこちらの神社にお参りです。境内はかなり広く本殿の後ろも散策できます。緑豊かな広大な敷地をゆっくりと参拝、夕方で空いていたのでのんびりと見て回ることができました。
