This library and museum is dedicated to the writer Yukio Mishima. The collection holds a variety of items including the first prints of 99 of Yukio Mishima's books, autographed manuscripts donated by his family, literary notes, letters, and more. The exhibit hall looks at his life from the time of his birth to his suicide, as well as his posthumous influence. There's also an exhibit that replicates Yukio Mishima's study, as well as displays with commentary on his wide range of work in various genres. Yamanakako Forest Park of Literature where the museum is located has features like stone haiku monuments on the edge of Lake Yamanaka.
