Arita Porcelain Park Nonnoko no Sato有田ポーセリンパーク

Amusement Park / Theme Park

Here pieces of Arita ware from a variety of periods (such as old Imari, Kakiemon, and Nabeshima Domain Kiln-style wares) are displayed in a recreation of the Zwinger palace in Dresden, Germany. Particularly noteworthy is the great 183 centimeter tall flower vase. It is said to have wowed people from around the world when it was displayed at the 1873 Vienna World's Fair. A Baroque garden has been recreated on the facility's grounds, and there is also an Arita ware workshop where visitors can try their hand at crafting a ceramics piece on a potter's wheel.

It looks stunning. Beautiful park. There is an atelier for making and drawing aritayaki.

It was raining when I go there.

Nice walk around, but mainly for tourists on buses that want to buy souvenirs and food. Would not recommend, the smaller museums in town are far better

Away from the fast-paced cities of mainland Japan, Kyushu’s Saga prefecture offers quaint towns and cities known for their traditional crafts, particularly ceramics. Rich in kaolin (a type of clay), Saga became the homeland of Arita ware, a delicate, decorative porcelain that is now celebrated worldwide and can be discovered in the towns of Arita, Imari, and Karatsu.
