This famous ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) in Shirahone Onsen boasts over 100 years of history since its establishment. Visitors can enjoy the unique scenery of the season from the large outdoor bath; there is also an indoor bath and private reservable baths. All baths are continuously fed directly from a natural hot spring. The large outdoor bath is mixed sex; however, the bath’s opaque milky white waters and separate entrance for women have won it repute as being easy for women to enter compared to other mixed sex bathing facilities. Non-guests can also enjoy a day trip of bathing in the inn’s baths.
