Gokayama Tourist Information Center is located in the village of Minami-gokayama (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) in Toyama Prefecture. Besides providing information about tourist attractions, accommodation etc. in the area, the Center can also provide information regarding transportation services. In addition, the Center disseminates up-to-date information via Facebook, Twitter and other social networking services. The Murakami House, a traditional Gasshozukuri-style farmhouse which has been designated as a National Important Cultural Property, is nearby.

上梨地区にある案内所

世界遺産に登録されている五箇山の菅沼地区と相倉地区。その中間に、上梨という地区があり、観光案内所がありました。こちらの観光案内所は、合掌造りの建物なんです。建物内には、五箇山の観光パンフレットなどが並んでいました。

五箇山の上梨という地区の国道沿いにあった観光案内所が、五箇山総合案内所です。世界遺産五箇山らしいと言えばそれまでですが、観光案内所も合掌造りの建物なんです。村上家住宅という、五箇山を代表する大きな合掌造りの家のすぐ近くにあるので、案内誌をとしてはとてみよい立地です。五箇山の合掌造り集落はいくつもあり、それぞれが点在しているので、こちらでいただいた観光マップが役立ちましたよ。

五箇山の相倉集落と菅沼集落の中間地点にあり、隣は村上家住宅となっています。観光マップでは村上家住宅の向かいに位置する羽馬家住宅の行き方と美味しい蕎麦屋を教えてもらうためにお邪魔しました。羽馬家住宅は流刑小屋のさらに上に位置する光明寺の隣、蕎麦屋は案内所の斜め向かいの拾篇舎を教えてもらいました。
