The Higashi Iya History and Folk Museum uses photographs and display panels to present legends from the Iya region relating to the Heike clan. 展示の量は少ないですが、手っ取り早く歴史を学べるのでおすすめです。10分の紹介映像を見るとより簡単に知識を得られます。
平家の赤旗以外にも、見るべきものが多い資料館です。

祖谷は平家落人の里と言われているので、東祖谷まで行ったら、ここに行かないわけにはいきません。素朴な施設ですが、すごく満足できる内容でした。最初に、祖谷の紹介ビデオを見ました。平家の赤旗（レプリカ）を見たくて行きましたが、赤旗だけでなく、当時の生活をしのばせる衣服や家具、農機具、鎧に至るまで、展示品には見るべきものが多かったです。学芸員？の方もいろいろと説明してくれました。
